Exam photo size

Small enough, still sharp.

50KB is the photo limit for IBPS, SBI and SSC forms (20 to 50KB) and the JEE Main signature limit. It is enough room for a clear passport-style photo. Upload the original and the tool balances quality and pixel size to fit.

  1. Pick the right uploadPhoto, signature and thumb impression often have different limits on the same form. Pick your exam in the menu to fill them in.
  2. Keep it JPGMost forms want JPG. Renaming a file does not change its format, but this tool saves a real JPG.
  3. Look before you attachOpen the saved photo once. Make sure it is the right way up and nothing is cut off.

Keep the detail that matters

If your face is small in a big photo, crop it first in your phone’s editor. The tool shrinks the whole picture, so less background means a clearer face.

For photos of documents, check every number and letter in the result. If small text gets fuzzy, use a larger limit if the form allows it.

The picture shown before you upload is a sample. Tap Try with sample artwork to see a real 50KB result. For other limits, use the 30KB or 100KB pages, or type a number in Custom limit.

Questions

Good to know.

How can I compress a photo to less than 50KB?

Upload it, keep the target at 50KB and tap Download. The exact size is shown under the result.

Can I keep the original resolution?

Sometimes. The tool first lowers quality, and only makes the picture smaller if it still does not fit. The final pixels are shown under the result.

Does this also make a PDF smaller than 50KB?

No. It works with photos and saves JPG or WebP. It does not open PDFs.
