Fit the file. Keep the face.
20KB is the limit for IBPS and SSC signatures and for PAN card photos. Upload your original, and the tool finds the best quality that still fits. Your photo stays in your browser the whole time.
- Check the formNote the file type, the minimum and maximum size, and any width and height. Or just pick your exam from the menu.
- Use a good originalUse a clear, well-lit photo that is already cropped the way the form wants. The tool keeps the framing you give it.
- Check, then uploadOpen the download and look at it once. Then compare the size and pixels shown with the form.
KB and pixels are different things
Pixels are the width and height of the picture. KB is how much space the file takes. Two photos with the same pixels can have very different KB, because a busy background needs more space than a plain one.
Here 20KB means 20,000 bytes. Your phone or computer may show a slightly different number, because some use 1,024 bytes per KB. The exact byte count under the result clears that up.
Forms can also reject a file that is too small. If your exam sets a minimum, like IBPS photos at 20KB or more, pick the exam in the menu and the tool will warn you when a result is under it.
Need control over export quality rather than a byte cap? Try the image compressor.

Good to know.
How do I resize an image to less than 20KB?
Upload your photo, keep the target at 20KB and tap Download. The exact size is shown so you know it fits.
Does a 20KB file have a fixed width and height?
No. KB and pixels are separate. The tool may make the picture smaller in pixels to fit, and shows the final width and height.
Can this make a passport photo for my application?
It makes your photo the right file size. It does not crop or check the photo rules, so crop your face and shoulders first and follow your form’s instructions.
